Côté Gold recently welcomed students and faculty from McGill University and Northern College for an insightful educational tour, facilitated by Stacey Lefebvre from Canada Nickel. This visit provided a unique opportunity to explore the mining operations at Cote Gold, aiming to strengthen ties with these educational institutions and offer students and faculty a firsthand look at mining operations.
During the tour, the Côté Gold team guided the students and faculty through various key areas, including the control room, truck shop, pit lookout, and Tailings Management Facility (TMF). This comprehensive exploration allowed the participants to gain valuable insights into a modern mining operation’s day-to-day workings and complexities, potentially sparking their interest in future career opportunities in the industry.
