The Côté Gold DevFest Challenge wrapped up in January at Laurentian University leaving the judges and attendees impressed by the remarkable creativity and innovation that was showcased.
Over a period of six weeks, teams of Laurentian and Cambrian students, AI specialists, engineers, and software developers collaborated to develop AI solutions using Côté’s drone footage to assess open pit blast quality.
The top four teams presented their solutions for a panel of judges from Côté, Laurentian and industry partners, including Bryan Wilson, André Bernard, Dr MC Lau, Stephane Boily and Kris Rey. Kenny Cheong from Côté organized the challenge in partnership with Laurentian University and the GDG Sudbury(Google Developer Group).
